Is Strategy or Spirituality More Important

Today’s podcast episode is a solo one because I wanted to sit down to chat about strategy vs spirituality in business. 

I asked you guys on Instagram what you wanted me to discuss, and today’s questions comes from Ovi. She is an amazing woman in the Game Changer community who asked “how do you balance the woo and the strategy”, and I thought this was a great question! 

What is woo?

Woo is the spiritual stuff, alignment, manifestation, the law of attraction and I’m a massive fan of the woo. 

I love the law of attraction and have been quite spiritual since I was a child. I enjoy the manifestation side of things when it comes to business, but I talk more about business because it’s what I studied at university. Plus, if you know me, you know I’m really passionate about helping others start and thrive in their online business.

How to manage strategy and the woo in business

Woo is believing in the power of all the beautiful crystals you have sitting on your desk or the tarot cards stashed in your drawer. It’s believing in the power of The Law of Attraction, manifestation and all of that good stuff. 

If you’re anything like me, you’ve dabbled in the woo at some point on your journey or at least wondered what it is. Believing in the woo is all of that spiritual stuff. However, it may seem a little hard to share online because people might think you’re unprofessional or even a little crazy but beliving in the woo really does affect the success of your business.

The woo and the mindset stuff can actually be explained very scientifically. If you’re totally against it, I would suggest you look into the science of all the “woo-woo” stuff first. 

A lot of people get caught up in going one way or the other, but I think that if you can, it’s great to manage both. The more you believe in yourself and that the universe has your back, the more action you’re going to take.

 

Why Strategy and Action is so important

Where I see a lot of people go wrong is when they’re advised by leaders to only focus on the mindset side of things in their business. You need to have a healthy balance of both strategy and mindset. 

If you’re in the beginning stages of your business, you have to do the work. You have to set you your business for success, and unfortunately, you can’t rely on your mindset to simply think your way to success. Especially in the beginning, the action is required.

Action Takes Self-Belief 

While the action is essential, this is where the power of mindset comes into play. You literally cannot be successful in business if you don’t believe in yourself, you will self-sabotage. 

You can have the website, the funnels and everything you think you need to be successful in business but if you don’t have the belief that you can actually do it and sell yourself and your services or products then you will do something to sabotage your own efforts and you won’t even realise that you’re doing it. 

And that’s why I think the mindset side of things is so much more important because it is the trigger for action.
