Do Not Start a Business Until You Watch This

Someone asked me the other day if I truly believe that every single person can be an entrepreneur? I think the answer to that question is yes!

I believe people can attain the skills required to become an entrepreneur; however, if it doesn’t come naturally to you, it won’t be easy. Being an entrepreneur isn’t always easy, and these are the things you should consider before starting an online business.

One of the most important factors of having a successful business in 2019 and beyond comes down to these critical things.

Chase Fulfilment Not Profit

Too many people start an online business because they want to live a different life and not because they’re passionate about what it is they’re doing. When you chase profits and not passion you won’t feel fulfilled and it’s unlikely you will be successful for very long.

Don’t start a business that you’re not passionate about and will remain fulfilled by. Gaps in the market are great but sustainability is even better. You’re not just creating something so that you can build something then sell it on. If you are then great but if you want to be a teacher, a leader and impact the lives of others then you can’t be in a hurry.

Take the time to consider what is the most fulfilling path for you, something that you are truly interested in and excited by.

Choose fulfilment over profit and the profit will come – I promise!

Don’t start a business to get rich quick

It seems odd to me that people think they’re going to leave their full-time job and start a profitable online business right off the bat. It simply doesn’t work like that.

It took me two years to build my online audience before I even launched my business and started to make an income.

It takes time effort and resources to see success in your business – you need to be in it for the long run.

Don’t Start a Business if You Think “It’s Easier”

If you think a business is going to be easier than a 9-5 job, you’ve got another thing coming. Starting a business is hard and is harder than having most jobs. It’s less risky to work in a 9-5 because having your own business means sacrifice – working unusual hours, having no weekends, being vulnerable and putting yourself out there

None of that is easier than having a 9-5 job, yes you have the freedom to design your own schedule but that only comes with time. During the beginning of your business it’s going to come down to your grit and determination.

You have to be prepared to work on yourself

Starting your own business is a very introspective journey and in order to succeed you have to work on yourself. You need to develop the skills, the knowledge and the drive to become a successful entrepreneur.

You will have to work on your fears and limiting beliefs in order to achieve that success online and you have to do it every single day. All of the leaders who are successful in business work on themselves, daily.

To wrap up, yes, I believe you are able to create your dream life of starting a business if you’re willing to sacrifice. If it’s something you’re passionate about and not just a quick fix and you’re willing to work on yourself you are going to do amazing and be successful – so go for it and chase your dreams!
